This microphone stand/arm works pretty smooth and it is quite sturdy. This product primary made with metal with plastic knobs (with metal screws). The metal and plastic does not feel cheap at all. It also has a nice smooth finish on the arm. It is quite easy to install. Just install the clamp on the table top and then attach the arm to it. Tighten the knob on the clamp and that's it. The arm itself is easy to move. With the microphone attached to the arm (added weight), the arm will stay where it move it to. Left, right, up or down. It also comes with cable ties to tie the microphone cable on the arm. You do not see any spring nor hear any noise when you move it. The included mic cover foam also works pretty well. To be honest, it is better than I expected.
